Gerlachs Art Glass is owned and operated by Buck Gerlach – after several years working for architects and engineers I took a stained glass class that was being offered through Arizona State University. Two years later "Buckstain Glass" was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada. One of my clients moved to Fallbrook, California and a couple years later in 1980 I moved my business to Fallbrook, and changed my business name to Gerlachs Art Glass. The business was in Fallbrook for twenty six years and several hundred commission pieces later. Some of which included "The Hotel Del Coronado", The Boulders" Resort, in Arizona, Padre outfielder Tony Gwynn, Pete Conrad the third man on the moon. Several homeowners, churches and miscellaneous items. One of my prize commissions was in 1987 when I was asked to make a leaded glass piece for Pope John Paul II.
I also specialize in etched (sandblasted glass) and have completed several jobs including shower enclosure, pantry doors, wine cellars, dental offices and several commercial installations. One of the latest endeavors was the new clubhouse at the "Journey" golf course at Pechanga in Temecula, California.
One of my favorite jobs was the 'Statue of Liberty', it was contracted by a lady who came on a boat from Europe with her father when she was a child, she was in her 80's when I met her. That window had a lot of sentimental value, and was a honor to do.
In 2006 Buck build a new studio in Valley Center, at his home. He continues his work here. The address 28324 Alamar Rd, Valley Center, Ca 92082.
I would love to hear from you.
Sincerely, Buck Gerlach
